The Artist of the Year process starts with the teachers.

Nominating is easy. Teachers just submit two components:

A short statement about why you are nominating your student.

Students cannot nominate themselves. They must be nominated by a teacher.

NEW THIS YEAR !
Each SCHOOL / ORGANIZATION is allowed a limited number of nominations per discipline. If more than one teacher at your school wants to nominate students in the same discipline, you must collaborate to decide who will nominate each student.

AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS, PRIVATE STUDIOS or PRIVATE INSTRUCTOR max.: 1 junior & 1 senior

Students will automatically be sent an email with instructions on getting started, HOWEVER, the email is not required to get started.

Judging begins after all of the student applications have been submitted and processed for review.

All Orange County high school arts teachers are invited to evaluate applications and choose the semifinalists.
